HVAC Service and Sales Technician

We are looking to hire detail-oriented HVAC service technicians to maintain and repair our customers’ HVAC systems. The HVAC service technician will take the lead in repairing and calibrating systems and replacing components. You will diagnose problems, explain solutions to customers in clear, non-technical terms, quote costs to customers, and offer alternative solutions.

The successful candidate will possess customer service skills that are as good as your technical aptitude. Top candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and friendly.

HVAC Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing HVAC systems, including performing warranty services.
  • Troubleshooting defective HVAC systems and equipment to make diagnoses.
  • Provide appropriate information to help the customer with repair/replace decisions. Sales experience is a plus!
  • Provide quotes for new/replacement systems and accessories.
  • Perform preventative maintenance by cleaning reheat coils and air handling units, monitoring and calibrating air handling units.
  • Improving air quality and optimizing efficiency.
  • Fixing, replacing, and adjusting vents, and ductwork.
  • Ensuring the condensation drain line is free of debris and draining properly.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions.

HVAC Service Technician Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent. HVAC Technical School graduate preferred.
  • 3+ years HVAC experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
  • Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces.
  • Exhibit a good work ethic, and stay clean, organized, and efficient, while taking pride in your work.
  • Stay up-to-date on HVAC technologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Use hand-held technology for documentation and invoicing.
HVAC Sales / Comfort Consultant

For more than 30 years, it’s been our pleasure to supply the communities of Greater Pittsburgh with top-quality HVAC products and services, by exceeding our customer’s expectations.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced HVAC Sales / Comfort Consultant. This individual will serve as the leader of the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing a sales territory and creating new service and product accounts. As the HVAC Sales / Comfort Consultant, you retain the customer’s relationship, meet all their HVAC requests, and ensure that customers receive outstanding customer service from all HVAC departments

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting through cold calling, phone calls, referrals, networking, etc
  • Develop and maintain sales contacts in the company’s CRM.
  • Identify, qualify, and follow up on business opportunities in the assigned coverage area.
  • Follow up on sales leads from within our companies when applicable.
  • Attend appointments with customers as scheduled. Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Perform site-specific surveys of existing mechanical systems and put together equipment lists.
  • Provide customers with solutions for their HVAC and other home comfort needs.
  • Ensuring the condensation drain line is free of debris and draining properly.
  • Prepare, present, and close maintenance contracts.
  • Provide existing clients with revised agreements as required or renew existing contracts.
  • Establish long-term mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Communication with managers regarding schedule, sales activity, estimates, and proposals.
  • Provide weekly activity reports to managers.
  • Meeting established sales goals as defined in our sales representative plan.
  • Perform the above responsibilities while exhibiting a professional friendly demeanor.
  • Work together as part of our team so that issues can be avoided and/or quickly resolved in a professional manner both inside and outside of our organization.

Position Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of sales experience are required.
  • Record of exceptional customer service.
  • Understanding of principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice
